Education, Schools & Teachers

The future of our children.

Education in Cambodia

We build local schools in Cambodia, support existing schools, obtain school supplies and help organize lessons.

In Cambodia there is no compulsory schooling and insufficient education. Therefore, some of the children have never seen a school from the inside, because the parents are either too poor or the children have to work very early to feed the family. Even sanitary facilities such as toilets and washbasins are something new for many children.

  • Sponsor a teacher

For many families in Cambodia, it is difficult to feed their children, and they are unable to pay for their children’s education. Therefore, our primary goal is to give children free education. We believe that sponsoring a teacher for two reasons is the most important and effective way to keep poor children at school. First, it enables parents who do not have the opportunity to receive education for their children. Second, instead of finding individual godparents for hundred children, all we have to do is fund the salaries of the teachers at the schools we support. These teachers, in turn, deal with the educational, physical and mental needs of the children. Schools are responsible for providing uniforms, books and other school supplies.
